Children’s Home
It was a blessing for my wife and I, along with four other adult members, and a few teens from our team here in Thailand to spend an entire weekend at a Children’s Home. While we no doubt, were a blessing to them, they were a far greater blessing to us. It was a very wonderful weekend for everyone involved. I had the privilege to preach four messages on faith from Hebrews 11-12, and the rest of our team-taught classes, taught memory verses, and played lots of fun games with the child.
Wednesday Evening Married Couples/Family Class

One of the most exciting new ministries here in Northern Thailand is our Married Couples/Family Class. I am teaching 9-10 married couples on “Marriage and the Family.”
Anyone that has ever lived or served in this part of the world, knows that this might very well be THE GREATEST NEED in the churches here in Southeast Asia. In fact, as my fellow-laborer, missionary Dave Board, upon seeing my Facebook post about teaching this class commented with these following words: “Probably the most important discipleship that needs to be done in our part of the world.”
PLEASE PRAY FOR THE MARRIED COUPLES CLASS AND ALL OF THESE COUPLES TO GROW IN THEIR LOVE FOR GOD AND FOR ONE ANOTHER!
English Tutoring
Another new ministry here in Northern Thailand is English Tutoring. Of course, we are in the very early stages, but we recently had a day of interviewing and testing the potential students.
Lord willing, we will be able to use this new ministry with a two-fold purpose. First, we can help some of our people, especially young people to learn the English language, which will help them greatly in the future. Secondly, we can use this as an opportunity to meet and build relationships with unsaved young people and give us the opportunity to share the Gospel with them.
PLEASE PRAY THAT WE WILL BE SENSITIVE TO THE LORD’S LEADING CONCERNING ENGLISH TUTORING AND THAT GOD WILL USE IT FOR HIS GLORY AND FOR THE GOOD OF OTHERS!
New Road & New Building
A couple weeks ago, we started the initial stages for our new building. The first stage is to get a road up and going to enable folks to be able to reach the property. Lord willing, the new building will be ready to use within the next six months. Hopefully, we will be allowed to meet in person by then.

Food and Fellowship
To be honest, there isn’t a whole lot of in-person action going on here in Chiang Khong and/or the surrounding villages because of COVID and various restrictions, but it was a blessing for us to be able to have some food, fun, and fellowship with some of our team here. Others are still locked in their village. Maiver (green blouse) made a great meal, my wife and Sue taught everyone how to play UNO with some HUGE UNO CARDS that my mother-n-law gave us while we were on furlough. Everyone had a great time.

Bible Students & Discipleship
My online discipleship (now ten men in five countries) and teaching our Bible students is still going very well, and for this, I am grateful. I am looking forward to these countries opening their borders so I can begin to, once again, travel back and forth. We are very excited that our Bible students are not simply learning the Bible, Computer Skills, English, and How to Play a Guitar, but also our men are learning how to do Construction Work and/or Carpentry Skills. Many of our Ladies are learning how to make and sell pastries. These skills will help them immensely in the future.

Helping a COVID Ravaged Village
For almost two years now, my wife and I have been allowed to help many National pastors in Southeast Asia to be a help and a blessing to the poor, the needy, and the helpless, but it has always been from a distance. A few weeks ago, my wife and I had a chance to be personally involved, rather than from a distance. Our team here in Thailand had the chance to help another village here in our area that has been ravaged with the COVID virus. Needless to say, the Village Chief was very pleased!

“Operation Samaritan’s Compassion”
This past month has been a busy and blessed month. The Lord has allowed us to help in numerous villages, most of them either ravaged with the COVID virus or lock downed because of the COVID virus. We have also helped to provide three cancer patients with much needed pain medicine, bought a month’s worth of rice and gifts for all the children and teens at the Children’s home, and provided winter jackets for over 200 children.
Just this last week, at least ten people trusted Christ and four of these were baptized from one new village as a direct result of “Operation Samaritan’s Compassion,” National pastors, and our Bible students teaming together to help the poor, the needy, and the helpless.
PLEASE CONTINUE TO PRAY FOR OUR OPERATION SAMARITAN’S COMPASSION TEAM TO CONTINUE TO BE A BLESSING TO THE POOR, THE NEEDY, AND THE HELPLESS!
