“Rejoice in The Lord alway: and again I say, rejoice” [Philippians 4:4]. My wife and I would like to send our greetings to all of our supporting churches, pastors, family and friends. It is such a blessing to serve The Lord. It is a blessing to serve Him in America, it is a blessing to serve Him outside of the confines of our great country, but it is especially a blessing to serve Jesus in the 1040 window. We are excited to present the great need of the 1040 window to our brothers and sisters in America while we are here for a few months.
Over the past 2½ weeks my wife and I have had the blessed opportunity to either report in or present our burden for the 1040 window for the first time in seven different churches. We started off with an all-day at Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach. What a tremendous church! Please pray that God will use our feeble efforts to get the word out about the “Devil’s Dirty Little Secret” – the 1040 Window!
Pastor Tomlinson and I have known each other for many years now, but over the past few years we have become much closer. Of course, our greatest common denominator is The Lord Jesus Christ, but we are also both very concerned with, and committed to, making a difference in the 1040 Window. For those of you who do not already know it, in recent days Pastor Tomlinson and the Liberty Baptist Church have launched a new ministry. You can learn more about it by checking out http://barnabas1040.com. For those of us who have been on the field, especially in some of the more difficult countries in the 1040 window, we recognize the great need to assist the nationals who love The Lord, love their people, who know the language, and understand the culture in doing the work of reaching their people. Barnabas1040 is committed to this task. Would you prayerfully consider supporting this new ministry?
Please pray for Barnabas1040 and for all those who are doing
what they can to reach the 1040 Window!
One of the hi-lights of my recent preaching opportunities was the chance to preach for the Victory Baptist Church in El Cajon, CA. They had been conducting a tent meeting for nearly three weeks in the city of Lakeside. I had the chance to preach on two consecutive nights. It was great! Pastor Brown is a young man who loves The Lord, has a heart for seeing the church revived, and a desire to see the lost in the San Diego area reached with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. I will be preaching for him and his church family in yet another tent meeting at the end of the month. I am looking forward to it.
Please pray that the seed that was sown in the Lakeside tent meeting will bring forth
fruit to God’s glory and pray for the upcoming four days I will be preaching for
the Barona tent meeting!
What is happening in the countries of L”, Cambodia, and Thailand is so very exciting. In the country where my wife and I served for the past 15 months, the three works that we either worked directly with or had some influence over are doing very well. It is especially exciting to hear how well the two newer works are doing. The work in Cambodia which is led by Dave Board, and where my wife and I will be serving soon, is nothing short of miraculous. God is doing something very special in Cambodia and we are looking forward to having a small part in what He is doing!
Please continue to pray for the works in L”, Thailand, and Cambodia and that God will raise up more laborers for the great task at hand! My wife and I are so grateful for each and everyone of you. We also want to thank you for your continual prayers for my brother Pastor Joe Esposito, his wife, family and the Pacific Baptist Church family.
For HIS Glory in the 1040 Window,
Johnny & Denise Esposito
