This past Sunday I had the privilege to preach at Faith Baptist Church of Bakersfield. In recent days my dear friend of 30 years, Pastor Joe Grande, resigned to take a church in Missouri. My time with the FBC family was their first without their pastor. We had a great day in Bakersfield.

Pray for the Faith Baptist Church family as they are seeking God’s choice for their next pastor!

A few days ago, while visiting my brother Pastor Joe in the hospital, I showed him a sticker that has a picture of Southeast Asia and China on it. The sticker also has the words “Don’t Let the Dream Die” and “China or Bust” on it. These words refer to my brother’s dream of seeing a team sent to China and some of the last words he ever said prior to being hospitalized: “China or Bust.” Soon after I left the hospital my sister-n-law Mary sent me a text with the following words: “When you showed him the sticker and walked out, it was the first time I saw multiple tears roll down his cheek.” A day or two before that I had asked my brother if he had remembered saying, “China or Bust”? With a few blinks he replied, “Yes.” I also asked him if he still wanted the church to “push China”? Again, with a few blinks, he replied, “Yes.”

Please continue to pray for a miracle for my brother. Pray for his family. And pray that God will raise up more laborers for the 1040 Window, and specifically China!

On Wednesday evening I had the opportunity to open up the Missions Emphasis for the Spanish Ministry of Pacific Baptist Church in Maywood. Brother Bruce Mejia and my niece Sarah Esposito are doing a great job with this ministry. PBC of Maywood is a church plant of my sending church and God has blessed it immensely. Next Wednesday evening I will open up the Missions Emphasis for the English members of PBC Maywood.

Pray for the Spanish members of PBC (Maywood) that God will help them to come to grips with the importance of worldwide missions, especially the great need in the 1040 Window!

The highlight of the evening came after the service. A woman, who was visiting for the first time, had a few questions for me. One thing led to another, and eventually I had the opportunity to share the Gospel with Christine and she trusted Christ!

Pray for Christine to grow in her newfound faith and pray for her adult son Richard who also had a chance to hear the Gospel but did not respond!

Tonight I will be preaching at Harbor Light Baptist Church in Wilmington. Early tomorrow morning I will be flying to Connecticut and will be spending the weekend with Pastor Michael Peslak and the White Oak Baptist Church family for their Missions’ Emphasis weekend. Early Monday morning I return to California and have a busy week planned. I will be teaching and preaching at Pacific Baptist Bible College, preaching twice for Pacific Baptist of Maywood and three times for Pacific Baptist of Long Beach.

Please pray that God will bless these different opportunities to preach and teach at four different churches and the Bible College. Pray that God will speak to hearts about praying, giving, and going to the great harvest of the world!

As expected, my trip to Napa to be with the Hopewell Baptist Church family and their extremely “sedate” (yeah, right) Pastor Mike Ray was quite a fun experience. Anytime you spend two days’ worth of quality time with Pastor Mike Ray, it’s an experience. We had a wonderful service on Wednesday evening. The crowd was great, the spirit was wonderful, and the folks were fantastic. I preached, the altar was packed, and then we showed my video presentation. It was a great service. After the service someone–I have no idea who–handed me a note, which I put in my pocket and did not read for a few days. The note, among other things said, “Your message was such a blessing tonight. I walked through the doors broken and broke down and your message was so very encouraging. ….” Praise The Lord!!!

On Thursday morning, I headed down to meet up with my wife at my daughter and son-in-law’s home in Orange Cove, California. I even brought her a dozen roses. She was a happy camper! After staying in Orange Cove for two days we headed to SO. CA. On Sunday we were in two different churches, including First Baptist Church of Long Beach. First Baptist Church is not only one of our supporting churches, but they have been our dear friends for well over 20 years. I had the opportunity to meet their new pastor. The church seems to be doing extremely well, and for this we praise The Lord!

Please continue to pray as God allows my wife and me to be a blessing to various churches on our travels!

While I was not able to be in attendance, Pacific Baptist Church of Long Beach celebrated their 26th anniversary. I am sure it was a bittersweet experience especially for my brother’s family. So very grateful for the legacy of Pacific Baptist Church and my brother Pastor Joe Esposito. God has done some wonderful things through that ministry that continue on even today.

Please continue to pray for Pacific Baptist Church, my brother (a miracle needed), his family, and all of the ministries in Long Beach!

On Monday I had the opportunity to preach at Pacific Baptist Bible College. I preached a message “Dreaming Big and Living Radically for God.” It appears that God moved and for this I am grateful. I will be teaching two sessions and preaching again on Friday on the same topic.

Please pray that God uses this time with the PBBC students to inspire some future dreamers for God!

It is so exciting to hear the tremendous reports from the restricted nation in which my wife and I served for 15 months. Our team is doing extremely well. In fact, God is doing some really good things there. The picture below is of a Monday evening prayer meeting after the evening English classes. They are praying for God to use them to reach their fellow students, as well as other nationals in this needy country.

prayer meeting

The church, led by a national pastor [see picture below], that I had the opportunity and privilege to serve alongside of while in the country recently had three more new converts baptized. The small Bible Institute is going forward in training a handful of young men for the ministry. I am grateful that in recent days, because of sales from our books, we were able to send $500 to the country to help the Bible Institute, in addition to sending another $175 to barnabas1040.com.

P K

Please continue to pray for our team in this restricted nation as well as the three different IB churches led by national pastors. Pray for God’s provision and protection for the nationals in this restricted nation!

This last week has been busy. Last Monday evening I flew into Los Angeles from Detroit. Early Tuesday morning went and picked up a car rental, visited my brother in the hospital, and then drove up to the Fresno area in Central California. On Tuesday evening I preached for my son-n-law and then headed for the Bay Area early Wednesday morning. On Wednesday evening I had the privilege to preach for our dear friend Pastor Winiel Pechardo and the Harvest Baptist Church in Daly City. God is doing something very special there in Daly City. It seems like just yesterday that we were co-laboring in Long Beach. He’s been in Daly City seven years now. Time sure does fly when you are serving Jesus!

Please continue to pray for my brother, his family and my grandson Sammy!

On Thursday I headed to Santa Rosa. I had the opportunity to spend the entire weekend with Pastor Maricle and the New Hope Baptist Church family. Everything got going on Friday night with a late night Men’s Prayer Meeting, I really enjoyed being with the good men of New Hope. Soul-winning on Saturday morning in the projects, one lady was saved, supper with the Maricle’s at their house. Now, that’s an experience! They are a really fun family.

Another Men’s Prayer Meeting on Saturday evening, Sunday school with the teens, preaching service in the morning with the Spanish, lunch with the Spanish pastor and a few of his folks (lots of question answer time there), and preaching the evening service for the English folks. It sure seemed as if God moved in all three of the services. One of the hi-lights on Sunday was a special 4:45 meeting with Pastor and ten of his most committed folks at Starbucks. Not just because it was Starbucks. It was question and answer time. They asked questions about missions, about serving in a restricted nation, and questions about how to have a consistent walk with God. I loved it!

Today, I preached in their Home School chapel service. Just another opportunity to serve the Lord and influence young people. I preached a message on “The Importance of One Decision.” Love serving Jesus! Getting ready to head out to Napa to spend two days with the Hopewell Baptist Church family and my dear friend Pastor Mike Ray. That’s always a treat, and an experience. After Napa, I will be heading off to Southern California to teach and preach at Pacific Baptist Bible College, as well as being in a few churches before leaving for a weekend in Connecticut with the White Oak Baptist Church family and my dear friend Pastor Michael Peslak.

Please pray for safety as I travel and that God will continue to use my feeble efforts to open eyes concerning the 10/40 Window and to stir folks for greater devotion to The Person and purpose of Jesus Christ!

Greetings in Christ!  We have now been in the states for eight weeks, and we have been very busy to say the least. I have had the opportunity and privilege to preach in 22 different churches in four different states, along with preaching in two different tent revivals. We have had the opportunity to fellowship with many different preachers, some I have known for years, as well as talk to many a young man and/or woman who God has been stirring their heart about this matter of the mission field, including a handful who have become burdened for the 1040 Window!

Please continue to pray that God will use my wife and I as we share a burden for the neediest of the needy peoples of the world in the 1040 Window in general and Southeast Asia more specifically!

About a week ago, we met a young lady from China named Minnie (yes, like the mouse, in fact, she showed us a picture of Minnie Mouse). Minnie has lived in the states now for some time. What was interesting is that she came to my wife and I after the service and expressed her joy in what we were doing by letting folks know about the 1040 Window in general, and China specifically. You see, Minnie lived for nearly thirty years in China, and had NEVER once heard about Jesus. It wasn’t until she came to the states that she had the opportunity to hear about Jesus, to hear the Gospel, and to trust Jesus Christ as her Savior!

Please pray for Minnie as she still struggles some with her newfound faith and pray for the billons around the world that have never had the opportunity to come to America and hear the Gospel!

Last week my wife and I had the opportunity to be with the Lakecrest Baptist Church family. For many years Lakecrest Baptist Church, was pastored by my dear friend Pastor Marc Dalton. Other than my family, I am not sure I had a friend I would consider closer than Brother Dalton. I sure loved that man. In January, on a cold and snowy Michigan day, Brother Dalton went home to be with The Lord. I had the opportunity to preach a message from John 21:15-22, which God had given me the day after his home going. God moved in a very special way. It was awesome!

Please pray for the Lakecrest Baptist Church family as they seek the face of God for a new pastor and for the Dalton family as they adjust to life without the man they love!

I will be in Northern CA. for the next week or so. Looking forward to being with the Harvest Baptist Church family (Pastor Pechardo), the New Hope Baptist Church family (Pastor Maricle), and the Hopewell Baptist Church family (Pastor Ray).

Please pray that God will bless the services in these three good churches. Pray that hearts will be stirred!

Greetings in Christ!

Our trip to Michigan and Ohio has been a really good trip. Over a three-week period of time we will have been in eight different churches, been able to spend some time with some of my wife’s family, see old friends in the ministry, and meet new friends. We will be leaving Michigan in just a few days!

Thank you for praying for our trip to Michigan. God has blessed in so many different ways!

One of the many hi-lights during our trip to the Midwest was the opportunity to spend some time with missionary Charlie Vest. We had a wonderful time of fellowship over a light lunch during my trip to Gaylord, Michigan to be with the Grace Baptist Church family and my friend, and former class-mate, Pastor Jon Jenkins. They sure do have an amazing work in Gaylord. Brother Vest spent 10 years in the Philippines and God used him to see a great work built. He now leads a ministry that is supporting Filipino missionaries going into Asia, as well as national pastors.

Please pray for Charlie Vest and his family and ministries such as his and barnabas1040 that are attempting to be used of God to help missionaries and nationals reach the 1040 window!

One of the many blessings while in the Midwest was a small note and a one-dollar bill that was given to my wife by a 12-year old girl immediately after I was done preaching. My wife stuck it in her purse, and, we didn’t get a chance to read it until two days later. You know how it is in a woman’s purse! While sitting in a hotel room in Cincinnati, OH my wife handed the note to me. As I read the words my heart was so touched. Here was a young girl, moved by the message and wanting to do her part. It so reminded me of the story of the Widow’s Mite. The note said, “Preacher, please spend this money on some candy for some other children in Thailand or Asia or something. It’s not very much, but spend it on them. Thank you for your wonderful sermon tonight. It touched my heart. I am praying for you.”

photo 1 (5)

Please pray that more children, teens and adults (including us missionaries) would have the same heart to sacrifice for those in need!

One thing we have been doing the past few weeks is selling some of my books. As many of you know, while I was in the states I wrote seven books. I am selling what I have in stock now to raise some additional financial support for the small Bible College in the restricted nation in which we served, and also to help with the new ministry barnabas1040. While the sales have definitely not been overwhelming, it has been nice to be able to raise some additional funds to assist these two well-needed ministries.

Please pray that God will use this Bible College to train young men and women to serve their people and bring the gospel to such a needy nation!

It was also nice to meet, for the first time, a young man who desires to go to the restricted nation in which we served. His name is John Rea. While we were at Salem Baptist Church in Cincinnati, John drove up to be in the service with us. John served The Lord in Thailand for two years, but has always wanted to serve in the nation my wife and I spent 15 months. Just a few weeks prior to my brother’s stroke, John flew into California and met with my brother about the possibility of joining our team. He has been on deputation now for about one year. If you were looking to support someone going to the 1040 window, and specifically one going to serve in a restricted nation, I would ask that you prayerfully consider John Rea.

Please pray for John, and others like him, who are willing to leave the comforts of home to serve Jesus in foreign lands, especially those who are willing to go, at great risk, to a restricted nation!

As we mentioned a few weeks ago in an update, our youngest daughter Joy, who has been on staff at Pacific Baptist School the past two years, will be going, Lord willing, to Cambodia in February. While she is not officially going on deputation, she is in need of, both prayer and financial supporters. Of course, Joy grew up in our home, she graduated from Pacific Baptist School, and from Pacific Baptist Bible College with a degree in Elementary Education. For the past two years Joy has taught first grade at Pacific Baptist School, and will continue to do so until she leaves for Cambodia. In addition to teaching at PBS, teaching Sunday school for many years, working with the teens at PBC, she has been in the bus ministry for at least 12 years. She started young, as did all of our children.

She is a wonderful young lady, who loves The Lord, loves people, has a servant’s heart, and works extremely well with teens and children. She will be a great help, not only in assisting my wife and me, but also in serving with the team in Phnom Penh. Upon arriving in Cambodia, along with assisting me in my various ministry duties, she will be working with the children and teens in Phnom Penh. She may also be doing some teaching. Joy will not be going on deputation, but she is prayerfully seeking financial support from the states.

If you or your church are willing and able to support a young lady who loves Jesus, loves people, and is willing to leave the comforts of America for the challenges of Cambodia, I ask that you would consider Joanna Joy Esposito. If you are interested in taking her on for support please feel free to let me know.

Please pray for Joy as she serves this next semester at Pacific Baptist School and as she prayerfully seeks support for her service in Cambodia!

Thank you for Praying,

Johnny and Denise Esposito

August 13, 2014

Greetings in Christ! My wife and I have been busy over the past week or so. We have had the privilege to be in four different churches, including my wife’s home church. This weekend we will be in a church in Cincinnati, Ohio. It has been a treat to meet folks, fellowship with other servants of God, and watch as God has used our preaching and teaching for HIS glory.

Please continue to pray that God will use us in the different churches we have the opportunity to be in while here in the states.

It is so exciting to hear the good reports from SE Asia. We miss being on the field, and look forward to getting back as soon as possible.  Our team in the restricted nation in which we served for the past 15 months, recently had a scare. While crossing the border from another country with Bibles, Christian books, and tracts [illegally of course] they were pulled over. Fortunately, God was faithful and they were not “found out.” Praise The Lord!

Just this past week our team in the restricted nation had the opportunity to go to one of the villages in which a new church was planted. I had the privilege of preaching the college graduation service for the young man who has started the work. Pastor Dwight Tomlinson, from Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach, CA and barnabas1040.com, who came and visited with us had the opportunity to preach for us the night of his ordination.

The young ladies who are part of the team had the opportunity to teach about 40 children the “Jesus Story,” as well as give out some literature [yep, the same stuff smuggled across the border], and five children made a profession of faith. Praise The Lord! *See pictures below.

Please continue to pray for our teams in Cambodia, Thailand, and the restricted nation that God will provide for and protect them, but above all, use them to reach many with the Gospel!

One thing that I have been reminded of, now that I have been in the states for about six weeks, is how difficult it is to live a simple and sacrificial life here in America. The pull of the world’s way of thinking when it comes to comfort and convenience is so strong here that even the best of Christians struggle immensely to have victory. It reminds me of something I read recently, “We are also seldom asked to internalize the commands of Christ —to begin a lifestyle of sacrifice, service, and suffering for the sake of our Lord. We are not asked to love as He loved, walk where He walked, interact with the kind of sinful people He did, and live the life of self-sacrificing service that was His trademark.”

Please continue to pray that God will help us to live simple and sacrificial lives for the sake of the Gospel!

I recently came upon this thought-provoking quote, which I had read in the past:  “A tiny group of believers who have the Gospel keep mumbling it over and over to themselves. Meanwhile, millions who have never heard it once fall into the flames of eternal hell without ever hearing the salvation story.  “

O Lord, help us to see it!

JER 9:23-24

August 7, 2014

Well, the last few days of July were a real blessing. I had the blessed opportunity to preach three times in a five day revival, hosted by the Victory Baptist Church and Pastor Jaysen Brown, on the Barona Indian Reservation.  It was fantastic!

On Monday evening I preached from Matthew 16:13-25. The title of the message was “Recognizing the Person of Christ but Rejecting the Purpose of Christ.” God moved in a great way! On Tuesday evening, my text was 2 Chronicles 7:14, but we looked at many other passages, and I preached on the “Humility: The First Pre-requisite to Corporate and Personal Revival.” On my last night in the revival, I preached a message “Do You Love Jesus Unconditionally?” from John 21:15-21.

While God definitely moved in the services all three evenings, I would have to say the hi-light of my three days on the reservation was soul-winning on the Reservation on Wednesday morning. Not only did I get to go out with a young Indian from the Reservation named Touschon, but, I was able to share the Gospel with a 25-year old Indian named Joshua who trusted Christ. I found out later that Touschon (my soul-winning partner) was going to be baptized the following Sunday. Praise The Lord!

Please pray that God will continue to bless the seeds that were sown during the 10 preaching services and the soul-winning on the Barona Indian Reservation!

On the first Sunday in August, I had the privilege to teach Sunday school and preach in the morning at my home church, as well as preach in the evening service. On Sunday evening, I preached a message, “Don’t Let the Dream Die” from Acts 16:5-10. Basically, it was a message encouraging our church family to “Keep the Dream Alive” that God had put in my brother, Pastor Joe Esposito’s heart. If you are interested in hearing the message, it can be found here: http://www.pacificbaptist.com/sermons/

Please pray that God will continue to “keep the dream alive” for the 1040 window, Southeast Asia and China at Pacific Baptist Church and Pacific Baptist Bible College. Also, keep praying for a miracle in my brother’s life!

Early Monday August 4, my wife and I flew from Los Angeles to Detroit, Michigan. Over the next three weeks we are scheduled to be with six different churches, including my wife’s home church. We covet your prayers.

For HIS Glory in the Nations,

Johnny and Denise Esposito

JER 9:23-24

August 1, 2014

Greetings in Christ! In the past 30 days, since my arrival to the states, I have had the privilege to preach in 13 different churches. It has been a real blessing to be able to spend some time with my children and grandchildren, to spend time with my brother–who is still in need of a miracle, and to be able to share with many the great need in the 1040 window in general, and Asia more specifically. What has been a great blessing is to have so many come and talk to me about God stirring in their hearts a desire to pray more, give more, and in some cases, a burning desire to go to the needy area known as the 1040 window. One of the many blessings came about a week ago, when a Vietnam Veteran came up to me after a service and said that for years he hated the Vietnamese people, but God had worked forgiveness in his heart, and God was now stirring him to do something in that part of the world. He wasn’t sure what, but he was sure God wanted him to do something!

Please continue to pray that God will bless as He opens doors for me to share with churches the great need in the 1040 window in general and Asia more specifically!

As I mentioned in my previous update, Pastor Dwight Tomlinson of Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach, CA has launched a new ministry called “Barnabas1040.com”.  The primary objective of this ministry is to help support national pastors in the 1040 window to reach their own people. It looks as if the first national pastor they will be taking on for support is one who we had the opportunity to work with while we were in SE Asia.

Please continue to pray for Barnabas1040.com and other like-minded ministries that have a desire to help nationals reach their own people.

My wife and I will be heading to Michigan in just a few days. We will be in Michigan for almost a month. We will be reporting in a few supporting churches, as well as sharing our burden for the 1040 window in a few new churches. Of course, my wife will get an opportunity to spend a few days with her family while we are there. After returning from Michigan, we will be in Northern CA for about three weeks, and then off to the East coast. I will fly back to CA for one weekend when Pastor Tomlinson and I will be preaching for Pacific Baptist Church’s Missions’ Conference. Primary emphasis: 1040 window in general and the country of China more specifically!

photo (3)

Please pray for our travels and that God will use us for His glory. Also, that my brother’s dream to send a team to China does not die!

Now, for some really exciting news as I conclude this update. My daughter Joy, who graduated from Pacific Baptist Bible College, and has been teaching at Pacific Baptist School in Long Beach for the past two years, will be going to Cambodia to serve alongside her parents and the rest of the team in Phnom Penh. If you are at all interested in supporting a young lady who loves The Lord, who loves people and thoroughly enjoys serving people (especially children), may I heartily recommend Joy Esposito for your prayers and financial support.

For the most part, along with assisting good old dad, Joy will be working with the children’s and teen ministries in Phnom Penh, I think she will probably also be involved with tutoring children.

JER 9:23-24

July 15, 2014

“Rejoice in The Lord alway: and again I say, rejoice” [Philippians 4:4]. My wife and I would like to send our greetings to all of our supporting churches, pastors, family and friends. It is such a blessing to serve The Lord. It is a blessing to serve Him in America, it is a blessing to serve Him outside of the confines of our great country, but it is especially a blessing to serve Jesus in the 1040 window. We are excited to present the great need of the 1040 window to our brothers and sisters in America while we are here for a few months.

Over the past 2½ weeks my wife and I have had the blessed opportunity to either report in or present our burden for the 1040 window for the first time in seven different churches. We started off with an all-day at Liberty Baptist Church in Newport Beach. What a tremendous church! Please pray that God will use our feeble efforts to get the word out about the “Devil’s Dirty Little Secret” – the 1040 Window!

Pastor Tomlinson and I have known each other for many years now, but over the past few years we have become much closer. Of course, our greatest common denominator is The Lord Jesus Christ, but we are also both very concerned with, and committed to, making a difference in the 1040 Window. For those of you who do not already know it, in recent days Pastor Tomlinson and the Liberty Baptist Church have launched a new ministry. You can learn more about it by checking out http://barnabas1040.com. For those of us who have been on the field, especially in some of the more difficult countries in the 1040 window, we recognize the great need to assist the nationals who love The Lord, love their people, who know the language, and understand the culture in doing the work of reaching their people. Barnabas1040 is committed to this task. Would you prayerfully consider supporting this new ministry?

Please pray for Barnabas1040 and for all those who are doing

what they can to reach the 1040 Window!

One of the hi-lights of my recent preaching opportunities was the chance to preach for the Victory Baptist Church in El Cajon, CA. They had been conducting a tent meeting for nearly three weeks in the city of Lakeside. I had the chance to preach on two consecutive nights. It was great! Pastor Brown is a young man who loves The Lord, has a heart for seeing the church revived, and a desire to see the lost in the San Diego area reached with the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ. I will be preaching for him and his church family in yet another tent meeting at the end of the month. I am looking forward to it.

Please pray that the seed that was sown in the Lakeside tent meeting will bring forth

fruit to God’s glory and pray for the upcoming four days I will be preaching for

the Barona tent meeting!

What is happening in the countries of L”, Cambodia, and Thailand is so very exciting. In the country where my wife and I served for the past 15 months, the three works that we either worked directly with or had some influence over are doing very well. It is especially exciting to hear how well the two newer works are doing. The work in Cambodia which is led by Dave Board, and where my wife and I will be serving soon, is nothing short of miraculous. God is doing something very special in Cambodia and we are looking forward to having a small part in what He is doing!

Please continue to pray for the works in L”, Thailand, and Cambodia and that God will raise up more laborers for the great task at hand!  My wife and I are so grateful for each and everyone of you. We also want to thank you for your continual prayers for my brother Pastor Joe Esposito, his wife, family and the Pacific Baptist Church family.

For HIS Glory in the 1040 Window,

Johnny & Denise Esposito

JER 9:23-24

May 1, 2014

Friends,

Greetings in the precious name of J’s’s! I just finished pr’’ching for a few days at a conference in a neighboring country and thus thought it would be a good time to shoot off a pr’y’r letter.  My wife and I are extremely grateful for your pr’y’rs, your encouragement, and your financial support!

After spending 16 wonderful days with our team in Phnom Penh, Cambodia we flew to our destination. The country where G’d has now placed us is a “restricted nation.” Thankfully G’d is never “restricted”!

While the poverty here is not quite as severe as Cambodia, it’s still heartbreaking. Talking to a few nationals recently, they all work six days a week, anywhere between 10-12 hours a day, and they make $100 per month. I think that comes to about .35 cents an hour!

We have been here over two weeks, and have spent most of our time getting “a feel” of things, meeting different believers, working on building a bond with our team here, sitting in on different ESL classes that our team members are teaching, and looking for a new location for our school, as well as for a place for my wife and I to live.  We have now been in a hotel for over a month. We are also trying to get my visa situation settled. Please pr’y with and for us concerning this matter!

The young man pictured with me above recently told me he wants to learn English so he could learn the B’bl’ from me. Pr’y that I learn his language! He wants to start a ch’rch in a village in this country!

Just recently talked to a “friend” here, who said he attended a school with over 2,000 students, and to his knowledge there were only 5-6 “friends” in the entire school. That sounds about right. I think that comes to just under .03%.  I was also just told by a m’ss’on’ry that a province of 350,000 that we recently visited had only 350 “professing” “friends.” That’s one for every thousand people! Two other brothers shared with us how difficult it is to share the Good News here in this country. If caught, you could go to jail. Pr’y for G’d’s Word to spread here!
